Ann Romney: Americans Feel A "Breach Of Trust" With Government
In her first solo TV interview since the 2012 elections, Ann Romney talks to the "CBS This Morning" co-hosts about her thoughts on the presidential race and what she and Mitt Romney have been doing since then.
Romney also addressed a 2012 Gallup report about a 20-point gender gap between President Obama and her husband. She told the "CBS This Morning" co-hosts that her husband was cast in a negative light as a ruthless businessman.
"There's this breach of trust that we as all Americans feel right now with our government, if we look at the three scandals that are going on right now...in particular...the IRS scandal," Romney said.
"We have to have trust in our government. We have to believe they are doing right for us...Where do we turn to know what's really true?" she asked.
