FNC's Political Insiders: "Our Political System Is A Banana Republic"
Doug Schoen, Pat Caddell and former Rep. John LeBoutillier (R-NY) discuss President Obama's approval rating, guns, immigration, the budget, the bugging of Mitch McConnell's office and corruption in politics. (via Johnny Dollar)
FMR. REP. JOHN LEBOUTILLIER (R-NY): David Stockman, who was the director of the OMB under Reagan, has a new book out and in it he calls for any person who served in the legislative branch: Congresspeople, staff people -- lifetime ban on lobbying. You can never lobby.
PAT CADDELL: Larry Lessig, who is a professor at Harvard -- a very liberal professor -- wrote a piece recently describing our political system as a banana republic. This is not an ideological issue, it is a people and American versus the political class and corruption.
And the media, because they participate in it, will say nothing. They don't really want to get into corruption because, unfortunately, so many of them are corrupt.

CADDELL: This is not a minor issue. The corruption going on is affecting every man, woman and child in this country to their detriment. It is hurting our children's future. It is people who can go and buy access and buy deals.
