Bill Press and Joe Cirincione of Ploughshares Fund look at the exclusive scoop from the Daily Beast that the White House plans to shift all drone programs away from the CIA to the Pentagon. Cirincione notes that this will not make drone policy more transparent.
Bill Press brings up the recent domestic drone hearing and the conflict of using drones for law enforcement purposes versus constitutional rights. Cirincione gives Bill examples of the new technology for drones that would allow a bug sized drone into one's house. He says, "the problem is (drones) are getting smaller and stealthier." Bill is shocked to hear that a drone the size of a hummingbird could easily be used as an explosive device.
