Wasserman Schultz: Rubio Has "Some Pretty Sinister Views"
"I think the most disturbing thing about Marco Rubio's actions this week is that he voted against the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) re-authorization, and essentially sent a signal to women across Florida and across the country that he doesn't think it's important to protect them against domestic violence and to make sure that the law is tight enough and strong enough to prevent them from being abused in the future," DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) told the Tampa Bay Times sponsored program Political Connections on Thursday.
"It's just been shocking to me that he has, on the surface, continued to really seem like a benign, sweet leader when he really has some pretty sinister views and an evermore sinister record that’s been developing. For our seniors, for our kids, for women, it's disturbing," Wasserman Schultz said about Rubio.
